Cost effectiveness & scalability transformation

Historically, the company had been successful in reducing costs, but over the past few years costs had been flat, and management was uncertain whether current structure allowed for further cost reductions

To prepare for a likely market downturn, the CEO of the special furniture producer wanted to further reduce the SG&A cost base, and OPX Partners was asked to develop a full potential plan for SG&A cost reduction. OPX Partners supported the management team by running a company-wide diagnostic to quantify potential and develop a plan for how to realize the potential. The initiatives included a combined short-term cost-savings within current structures with mid-term initiatives requiring structural changes summing up to ~8% savings on the SG&A cost base. To enable the organization to deliver on the plan, initiative charters and playbooks for management with detailed time plans and actions were developed. OPX Partners subsequently also supported management on delivering on selected initiatives.
